Come join Laura Doctor & Kenji for an evening of Songs & Stories at The Hall! Cozy up on the couch or grab a seat at the dinner table and enjoy some good ole family fun around the fantasy fire.
Weaving together storytelling, audience participation, musical instrumentation, and sing-along songs, Kenji & Laura are humbly remembering an ancient art that brings people together for a collective journey of the imagination.
This month's story will feature Kenji sharing the Story of Peace Village, an origin story of a dream spanning all the way back to the beginning of time. When the rise and fall of the human heart catalyzes a call to action, we are initiated into a coming of age tale for all those seeking a new (and old) way of belonging to community, family, and life.
Songs, like stories, have a life of their own. It is through the breath and body that they come alive, and through the listener that they find a home. Thank you for your help in bringing these songs & stories to life!
Arrive anytime after 4pm to order dinner and get settled. We will begin promptly at 4:30pm and should be wrapped up within an hour. All ages welcome. Floor seating and table seating options are available. Bring a seat cushion, pillow, blanket, sketch pad, journal, or any other cozy comforts and creative outlets that will help you tune in. We hope to see you soon :)
